"I have been working with Coast Music Therapy for two years in supporting social and communication skills of several students in both a high school and elementary school environment. Music therapy has been such an asset in the development of language skills, especially with students that have developmental or cognitive delays and or disorders. The structure, rhythm and visual aids have helped my students learn social reciprocation, identifying emotions, answering wh- questions, and many other language skills.

Not only has the therapist supported these skills with songs and accompanying visual aids, but she has also helped take the skills to the next level by giving strategies to transfer them to real life and academic situations. I am grateful for this service, and I know my students and parents are as well."
